Why?
After the huge success for the first FUTURE event, they are returning once again to bring to seasoned clubbers one of the most anticipated event of all time to usher in New Year’s Day 2010. Returning on a bigger and bolder installment this time around, FUTURE’s organizer Future Sound Asia (FSA) continues pushing the boundaries of dance music in Malaysia. Spurred on by the mammoth success of UOX PLAY FUTURE, FSA aims to assemble a major dance fiasco in the nation.

Confetti, fireworks and poppers aside, this 31st December 2009 will go down in history as FUTURE rocks KL Live (formerly known as Ruums) from 8.00pm until the wee hours of the first day of the New Year. Clubbers and party-goers can expect a superb line-up of international acts and local DJs which include worldwide phenomenal ‘The Bloody Beetroots’. Partners-in-crime, Bobby Rifo, an international indie producer and DJ Tommy Tea intermix together to create a genre of dance music that is a fine blend of fidget and electro house. The duo has its trademark of wearing Venom masks while performing which often link them to the similarity of Misfits and Daft Punk. Scenesters, Lap Sap and renowned award winning music mixer DJ Goldfish will set the mood for us to usher the NYE celebration.

Continuing with the celebratory vibes, on Saturday 2nd January 2010, FUTURE will host yet another orchestrated dance event featuring renowned dance music pioneers, Basement Jaxx. Grammy award winners for “Best Electronic Album” to add to the two BRIT’s Awards for ‘Best Dance Act’ and numerous other awards. Basement Jaxx is one of the most recognizable names in the party scene. Originating from UK, the duo consists of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe and they first rose to popularity in the late 1990s. The duo is famed for spinning a wide range of house music which includes electronic, deep house and tech house. The sensational duo is proudly supported by our very own Victor G who recently opened for Underworld in Singapore and DJ Azran which is currently making waves with his residency in Sultan Lounge..

For both The Bloody Beetroots and Basement Jaxx, this will be their first visit to Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur is set to provide them with a welcome that they’ve never experienced before! The newly-renovated KL Live is the perfect setup to embrace a world-class event such as FUTURE. The large stage and ample space in the venue provides an ambience that is unlike any other. A high-tech music console, powerful lighting and sound system set the mood for an evening of serious partying.
