Crafted towards the nurturing of industry creativity and talents in an entertaining and educational fashion, M.C.Asia Music Factory “The Beginning” will consist of two main components, a music & mentoring workshop during the day and an appreciation party at night.

At the music & mentoring workshop, participants will have the exclusive opportunity to come face-to-face with world renowned music producers and artists DJ Preach (Canada) and Marcel Woods (Netherlands), and be introduced to the professional world of music production and DJ-ing.

For the first time in the world, DJ Preach and Marcel Woods will be sharing on topics such as “DJ-ing As A Professional Career: The Marketing Strategy” and “A&R, Artist Development and Music Label Promotions”, which will be very beneficial to those inspired to venture into music production and DJ-ing as a career.

AFTER PARTY: DiGi Music Live pres. All-American Rejects @ Carpark A, Bukit Jalil Stadium (31/10/2009)

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

The Story Begins...

All-American Rejects second appearance was happening last week at Bukit Jalil and you could hardly see the show in the sea of people. Blerghhh... We still had a great time.

We got there around 8pm. It was raining, we couldn't find a spot to park our car but we enjoyed the wild night.

The show started with Disagree followed by Pop Shuvit. We missed Disagree's performance and first half of Pop Shuvit. The host, Natalie and Ean from Hitz.fm, announced Mooky from One Buck Short was hospitalized. The band still performed with Sam of Bunkface, Syahrul of Love Me Butch, Liyana of Estrella and Eddy of Gerhana Ska Cinta onstage singing everyone's favorite hits. It was cool to see different vocalist from different bands singing their songs.

We had to wait for almost an hour and there was no music (besides the Universal repeating promotional video that made us nauseous).

The All-American Rejects appeared right at 10pm. Tyson Ritter went onstage wearing the Red Indian headgear (I don't know what you call it..) putting the crowd in a frenzy with "Move Along" to kicked off the show.

I loved it when they played "My Paper Heart", "Real World" and the two encores ("The Wind Blows" and "Gives You Hell". It was just great to hear their old songs at the show.

Tyson Ritter was not as crazy as he was at MTV World Stage. He did a good interaction with the crowd but I don't think it was as great as what we've all seen at the World Stage... and I think the soundsystem was not good enough... or am I going deaf? haha!

Pics below!

Tyson Ritter - crazy as always

AFTER PARTY: Speedzone Tour MotoGP 2009 @ Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands (24/10/2009)

The Story Begins...

Speedzone Tour MotoGP 2009 was a great escape for me from my hectic schedule. By far, this is the best rave party I've ever been to.

Me and my friends did not have the time to buy the tickets, so we went there as early as 5pm to grab the complimentary tickets. The line was long but thank god, we were among the 300 peeps who received the free tix.

Marco V and Eddie Halliwell were awesome! They lifted the crowd with their hard-pumping beats. The venue was the best. 6,500 people packed the stadium and the emcee, Adam Mathews, announced the tickets were sold out! Crazy, man! Good job to Victor G and Terence C for warming us with the delicious tracks.

Everyone party like mad at their seats. Something not we usually see in Malaysia. Chivas party in 2006 was held at the same venue, everyone packed the floor and door closed due to full capacity... but the seats were zero.

In my opinion, Speedzone Tour MotoGP 2009 is the best rave party for this year (so far) in terms of venue, line-up and the setup.

Coming up! Music Conference Asia (MC Asia) - the BEGINNING - Appreciation Party @ KL Live this November 21. November is going to be wild.
