WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.” was acknowledged for “Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical” (marking the work of Dyre Gormsen and Tony Maserati).

The album’s first single, “I’m Yours” has proven an international radio blockbuster, with worldwide #1 chart-topping runs. “I’m Yours,” which caused an online commotion upon its initial release, can now be found in thousands of user-generated videos from more than 25 countries, with more than 40 million views on YouTube. “I’m Yours” has already received double platinum certification from the RIAA for sales exceeding 2 million in the USA and worldwide.

The album sees Mraz continuing to tread his own distinctive artistic path, melding a variegated musical tapestry with passionate, personal lyricism. Among the highlights are collaborations with British tunesmith James Morrison and singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat.

“WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.” follows Mraz’s two previous studio releases: 2002’s RIAA platinum-certified breakthrough, “WAITING FOR MY ROCKET TO COME,” and 2005’s “MR. Mraz has also released a series of concert recordings, including 2004’s “TONIGHT, NOT AGAIN: JASON MRAZ LIVE AT THE EAGLES BALLROOM” and 2006’s digital-only release, “SELECTIONS FOR FRIENDS.”

The single “I’m Yours” performed extremely well locally, staying at Hitz fm & Mix Fm chart for more than 17 weeks, very rare for any singer or song.

BLOG THING: Chemical Brothers to KL?

The Story Begins...

A little bird told me (apparently the little bird is Junk Online)...

that the Chemical Brothers are planning to set their foot in KL for a show!
I don't know how far is the truth. In fact, we all don't know how far is the truth cuz to me, it is quite impossible to have them here... It's like we all want Daft Punk or Justice but pfffttt... Tough call, my dear.

Well, here is the statement taken from the website:
" WE CAN'T REVEAL WHO we heard is coming to KL for a show but let's just say that if you're into "block rockin' beats", there's a hot international duo rumoured to possibly "galvanize" the whole concert scene in Malaysia. If everything goes well, we could soon be dancing to oblivion to these big beat gurus who, rest assured, will lead us to "the golden path" of total elation. If you miss this upcoming show, you'll have to "dig your own hole"...

Er, can you guess who we're talking about? =P"

DUUHHHHH, you guys are giving a very goddamn clear view of the duo! wohooooo!

CHEMICAL BROTHERS!!!

*crossing fingers*

Let's just wish that it will come true.

I want them to come here with the 3D visuals like the one they did at Trafalgar Square.

Check out the live video of one of my favorite Chemical Brothers track; Das Spiegel (from the We Are the Night album)

AFTER PARTY: U.O.X. Play Electric @ Zouk KL (17/01/2009)

The Story Begins...

Another U.O.X. event series was held last night at Zouk KL and it was crazy.
Entering the mainroom was a hassle. The doorstaff had to limit the entry due to the limited capacity but the wrist-tags were given to almost everyone who entered the Zouk area. WTF?

In the name of Lapsap, we wouldn't mind to queue! :)

We missed Twilight Actiongirl *booohoooo*

but we managed to enter right after the Lapsap duo took over the deck. Yeah!

The jumping up and down to the Crookers remix of Thunderstruck...
The fist pumping to Digitalism's Pogo...
The wild crowd when the beat of Frederico Franchi's Cream was dropped...

Oh well, you know Lapsap just love to create mayhem. Hehehehe

Thank you to those who came by and say hi to me. You guys rock! :)

Check out some of the photos.

We partied wildly last night and could not get our feet on the ground after the party ended.

AFTER PARTY: Red Sessions pres. Armin van Buuren @ Zouk KL (

The Story Begins...

Oh!
What a great night!

It was my first Armin experience and he totally rocked the house!

How do I describe Armin's set last night?

One word, "BEAUTIFUL!"

Thank god that I came early because the door staff closed the entry for public before it was 10.30pm.

Track after track. He did played lots of good tracks such as Unforgivable, In & Out of Love, Made of Love, Man on the Run and everyone's favorite, Going Wrong, and a classic track, Burned With Desire.

At the beginning of his set, he played my personal favorite, "Cygnes" by Mr. Sam feat. Claud9

He end his track at 3am but hundreds were craving for more! Come on! It was not even a 4 hours set! hahahah!

Armin appeared around 11.30-ish, ok!

So, he did 2 tracks for encore... My personal favorite "Human" by The Killers, remixed by the man himself. Armin closed the night with Oceanlab's Sirens of the Sea and made everyone sang along with that track.

Oh Armin! MALAYSIAN LOVES YOU!

I think RM120 for a club event is too pricey! Like Marlz said to me, "I would not pay RM100 for a club event unless it is an outdoor party."

A big thanks to Josh Lim for allocating free entries to party bloggers like me!

Check out the photos!

Wild crowd!

Armin looked at my camera!

Music lovers!

Flying souls

The Armin's wing

Danny managed to get in eventhough the entry was closed.

Who the hell behind us?

"Belajar rajin-rajin. Finish degree, apply work with me!" Thanks :)

Massive crowd!

Bad and his "Imagine" wallpaper

Almost every party we bumped into each other.

Nice people who loves the music.

I don't know how this photo got in my camera! hahahah! Luq's ass!

Armin, thanks for the good set!

For more photos, click here

I wanna say kudos to Red Sessions and Zouk KL for their effort to bring such big international acts to our shores but please reconsider the cover charge.

Read more stories on Malaysian club cover charge story at CoolerClubbers page. I love to read their critical issue about nightlife.

BLOG THING: New semester

The Story Begins...

Oh well...
As what you could see on the title post, the new semester has started and I am not fully prepared for this new adventure.

Darn...

I don't think I can post as much as I usually does because I don't have any Internet connection in my new crib (hehehhe... I'm staying with a bunch of strangers in Seksyen 7, Shah Alam)

Hopefully my Celcom Broadband would work perfectly there... Believe me, you could not get through any phone line if you are staying anywhere nearby UiTM.

Anywayssss... Wish me luck.

P/s: I want to go for Armin van Buuren's gig in Zouk KL this weekend. Who else is going? Cuz I might be going there ALONE. hehehehe :P
